Stanage EdgeA2B Expeditions offers a full range of rock climbing courses from introductory sessions through to mountain crag and sea cliff climbing. Most rock climbing courses are based in the Derbyshire Peak District on crags such as the legendary "Stanage Edge" or Burbage North and South. Here you will be climbing in the footsteps of many of the early pioneers and experiencing some classic routes, as well as groundbreaking new routes. However, should you wish to climb in any other area of the country, we will aim to accommodate your wishes. 

Our priority is to make sure your time with us is productive and experiential, allowing you to learn at your own pace. This guarantees that you leave us having had a positive experience and acquired new skills which will allow you to progress in your climbing career.

  • Beginner or novice rock climbing - Here at A2B expeditions we will tailor your course based on a number of factors such as ratio’s, experience and of course, time. If you require an alternative venue we will gladly accommodate you. These courses are ideal for your first rock climbing experience or for those making the transition from an indoor wall to 'real' rock.

  • Intermediate or experienced rock climber - There are various courses for independent climbers wishing to extend their rope-work and climbing skills as well as experiencing life on the "sharp end" by leading routes.

  • Advanced or experienced rock climber - For the more experienced amongst you, we can have a look at the more technical aspects of climbing such as technique, problem solving and self rescue skills, important tools to know should you ever need use them.

  • Adventure Rock Trips – A2B expeditions prides itself on being able to offer climbing adventures to some of the worlds most amazing destinations, such as Morroco, Tanzania, Kenya, India and of course Europe. Whether its cragging in Spain or summiting Kilimanjaro, we have the experience and knowledge to ensure that you have the best chance to achieve what you set out to do.    
  • Single Pitch Award – For the aspirant climbing instructors amongst you, we are available to offer both SPA training & assessment courses. Delivered to the highest standard possible, you can rest assured that we will prepare you for your future leading & inspiring others.
